About CPIN

CPIN brings students at Notre Dame and Georgetown together to develop practical solutions to problems worth solving.

The fellowship connects different ways of thinking: a business student might see an operational problem, an economist an incentive, and an English student a question nobody has asked clearly yet.

From a problem to a proposal

Teams start by understanding a specific problem and the people it affects. They examine existing approaches, develop alternatives, and test their assumptions against evidence.

The goal is a useful proposal: what could change, how it could work, and what still needs to be tested. Depending on the project, that might mean a program design, a business or technology concept, or a policy recommendation.
